Listen carefully to Caitlin Rose's album, Own Side Now and you will hear clear inspirations of Patsy Kline and roots steeped in country music. But sweet crooning is only a part of this rich album from this young artist. She dances daintily along her album, ranging from light hearted, to heart-wrenching, always memorable. Her voice reminds me a bit of Zooey Deschanel of She & Him. She has a great folk sound mixed gently and gracefully with honest and poetic lyrics. She is a wonderful songwriter and it is reflected in this beautiful album. Listen and check her out.
