I am of the conviction that there is little better in life than a really great concert.
After 27 years of living in Upstate NY, I decided to pack up my life’s accessories in a giant U-Haul and move to Austin, TX. Many were surprised at this sudden move, but as the old spiritual goes, “You gotta move when the spirit says move,” and my spirit brought me 1,700 miles away.
Why Austin? I'm not entirely sure. I felt an unshakable draw to this live music capital, land of SXSW and ACL. I wanted to go and live in this place that was steeped so heavily in music. It was love at first listen.
This blog is a chronicle of my musical escapades, festivals, concerts, music I discover, music I obsess over. I am a moderate hipster with a passion for indie music, any song that necessitates a dance party, hippie jams, jazz and Beethoven. Bluegrass music is the key to my soul.
