Fun Fun Fun Fest Day 3

Sunday of Fun Fun Fun Fest brought with it the threats of rain showers, ominous clouds and a continued swirl of dust. While the rain would never amount to much, I was thankful for my rain boots.

I started my day with Budos Band. I had seen them earlier this summer at the Rochester Jazz Fest and they were just as fantastic on the Orange Stage with the city of Austin as their backdrop. They are American funk, rock, jazz, afro-soul, awesome!

My favorite surprise of the weekend was Architecture in Helsinki. I hadn't heard of this fun pop group who had me dancing into the night. Their energy was high and funny dance moves infectious.

I caught Black Lips at the end of the night. They lived up to the entertaining shit show that they usually are and I loved them for it. They were drunk enough to be puking on stage, and their half assed attempts at "pyrotechnics" seemed fitting of their state. Still, that's who the Black Lips are and why we go to their shows. Still, I feel bad for the guys that had to clean up the stage after them.
