Young The Giant at Stubbs Austin, Night 1

Young The Giant at Stubbs Photo by Amanda
Well Hot Damn, Young The Giant is awesome!  I remember seeing them a year ago at SXSW and thinking that whoever those guys were, they were pretty fun. I made a point to see them again at ACL where they rocked out, and Max and I have exchanged e-mails about how well they translate to acoustics.

It was a special treat to see them again last night at the first of their two sold out Stubbs shows. Sameer Gadhia is electric and animated as he moves back and forth beween two mics at the center of the stage. Never far away is his tambourine, which he pounds out with unrestrained enthusiasm.

Check out photos from the show.

Thoughts from Max: Young The Giant

Because he has yet to give music recommendations that aren't wonderful, here is an old e-mail I received from my brother regarding Young The Giant.

"these acoustic videos are the shit. When seeing them live I like the heavier sound to rock out to, but as for listening to them at home these acoustic versions take the cake."

I wholeheartedly agree!
